Among the things Reece did for me/gave me for Valentine’s Day was a single red rose. The rose itself won’t last very long… so I’ve decided to press the petals, use them to make a scrapbook page, and then frame the page to keep it for as long as I/we want. ^_^

So, this is what I’ve been making for Reece for Valentine’s Day. I used a pack of playing cards to create a ‘52 Things I Love About You’ gift. I got the idea from here on Tumblr, fell in love with it, and decided that I wanted to make something special and lasting for the person I love. I am absolutely certain that he’s going to love it.

I’m just finishing off making everything look pretty, and then tomorrow I’m going to be painting and decorating a paper mache box for the cards to go in. In the box I’m also planning to include a dozen origami roses and the beginning of my one thousand origami cranes. ^_^

We’ve decided to do our Valentine’s Day date on Sunday night instead of on Tuesday as we’ll both be busy on Monday and Tuesday. All I know about what he’s planned is that we have the house to ourselves for most of the night, he’s preparing a candlelit dinner, and I’m not allowed to go into or anywhere near the kitchen (I get to play Fable III instead ^_^) while he’s cooking. I cannot wait! :)

I’m thinking that I really want to get into crafts. I want to start making more handmade gifts for people, or just little things for around the house. While I’m on holiday without The Boy, I’m going to be making one of his Valentine’s Day presents. I’m really excited about it, it’s going to be so cute and he’s going to love it. ^___^
