I’m sick and tired of being told that I can’t be who I am because someone happens to be offended by it.

Someone who I thought was one of my closest friends, and also happens to be the same person who told me that I was “smarter than that” when I told them I was vegetarian (so I shouldn’t be surprised), just told me to “compromise and accept the things I can’t change” when I publicly identified myself as a feminist.
